How to Prepare for UGC NET & Clear the Exam in 1st Attempt?

The students preparing for UGC NET Exam 2019 are required to study really hard as the difficulty level of this exam is very high. To churn out the best of talent it requires a comprehensively designed testing process.

Here, we're going to present you a basic study plan which every UGC NET aspirant must follow to set a smart strategy for learning.

Step 1 – Download the Syllabus PDF of UGC NET Paper 1 & Paper 2 (Based on your chosen subject)

Step 2 – Tick mark on the important topics that you’d be covering in Phase 1, then mark the topics for Phase 2 (less important than the previous ones) and now it’s time to analyze topics for Phase 3 preparation (least important).

Step 3 – As now you have the number of topics which you’d be covering in each phase, check out the chapters/units under which the topics would be covered. And this way, set individual deadlines for each phase to be completed.

Step 4 – Divide your daily learning in 3 sessions – Morning, Day & Evening/Night.

  • During morning hours, you study the topics which are hard to understand or require deep learning.

  • Day Hours should be given to the topics which requires mathematical calculations, derivations or some methodological approaches.

  • Evening/Night Hours should be saved for the topics which you’re comfortable in reading. Also save some time for revision just before you go to sleep.

Step 5 – Once you complete a single unit, perform its revision and note down its’ important formulas, topics brief theory or some useful concepts as short-notes.

You must also perform a complete revision after the completion of each phase. Revision helps students in remembering the topics for a long-time.

Step 6 – Besides learning the units and practicing their sample questions, you must also prefer Previous Years Papers and the Model Test Papers designed by NET Experts.

Previous years papers would help you in getting a fair idea of the difficulty level of the question papers from the past years as well as the topics which contain the higher marking weightage in exam.
